KS4 RSE
The purpose of these qualifications is to provide learners (ages 11-16) with the knowledge and understanding that will enable them to make informed decisions about their wellbeing, health and relationships.
Pupils will be required to complete workbooks during class time to build a portfolio of evidence to demonstrate their knowledge and understanding. This is marked internally by the school, usually the teacher delivering the programme, followed by an internal quality assurance sample and external quality assurance from NCFE. Judgements are made on pupils’ acquisition of knowledge and skills.
The assessment consists of one component:
An internally assessed portfolio of evidence which is assessed and internally quality assured by centre staff and externally quality assured by NCFE.
